Night Intrigue
Serena Abbott’s life has changed dramatically since becoming Ian and Alastair Wyndham’s lover. Every day is an adventure, especially during their undercover missions. Her psychic abilities, once a burden to her, have now become useful. Proving a man's guilt sounded exciting and she wasn't about to be left out! It's thrilling, and easier than she’d expected—until it almost gets her killed.
It takes both of her men to pull her back from the brink of death, upping the stakes for all of them. Another attempt on her life forces them to reevaluate her participation, but no one expects a man with a gun, bent on revenge, to break into their home.
To keep her safe, they must work together, and trust each other implicitly. One thing is certain: now that she's found a use for her abilities, Serena isn't about to let them keep her out. One day, though, the truth may end it all for them...

Chapter One
Chilled, she walked from the house, aware of the waves of evil coming from directly behind her.
She’d pushed him too far, but she hadn’t had a choice.
The evil emanating from him surrounded her.
She paused, the reality of what he was about to do stunning her into immobility.
The voices of her lovers rang in her head, and with a mental shout at Rip to run, she darted to the right, the sound of her heart pounding drowning out everything except the gunshot.
Another shot rang out and then another, and with Rip at her side, she raced through the darkness to her lovers.
“You okay, baby?” Ian Wyndham’s voice cut into her dream, the demand in his tone ripping her from the premonition of what she knew would come soon.
Serena Abbott came awake with a groan, hiding her irritation at being woken before her vision came to an end.
At least she’d be prepared.
Ian jerked her against him, running his hands up and down her back. “Talk to me, baby. You okay?”
Placing a hand on his bare chest, she leaned into his warmth in a way that had become almost instinctive. “I’m fine. You woke me up, though.”
Alastair Wyndham’s lips touched her shoulder from behind, his cheek brushing against hers. “You were crying out, and you were breathing so fast that we got scared. Another vision?”
“Yes. They seem to be coming more frequently lately.” Reaching back, she smiled when he immediately took her hand in his.
Having two opinionated and strong-minded lovers could be a pain at times, but having two muscular bodies warming her through the night made up for it. “Have I mentioned how much I love waking up with two big, sexy bodies?” She ran her free hand over Ian’s chest, amazed that a man could be so strong.
Ian lifted her chin, and his eyes narrowed on hers. “Tell me.”
Shaking her head, she pulled out of his arms. “I don’t know. Someone woke me up before I could make sense of it.”
She hated lying to him, but he really gave her no choice.
She’d recognized the man in her dream, and had been warned about the danger ahead, but she knew, if she told Ian, he’d dig his heels in and not let her get involved in their assignment.
Climbing over Ian, Serena snagged her robe, giggling at the slide of both of her lovers’ hands over her bottom. “No fooling around. I have to take a shower and go buy a dress for tonight.” She needed a few minutes alone to calm down after her dream, somewhere away from their sharp eyes.
A strong hand snagged her waist and toppled her back against the pillows.
“That can wait.” Ian leaned over her, his big body pressing hers to the mattress. Bracing himself on his elbows to protect her from his weight, he ran the backs of his fingers over her cheeks. “You’re always a little shaken after one of your visions, and every time, you try to put distance between us—physical and emot
ional. When are you going to accept that we’re not going to let you do that?”
Serena shrugged, unable to resist running her fingers through his tawny hair. “I’m used to dealing with it myself.” She glanced at Alastair who reclined next to her before looking into Ian’s hooded gaze again. “You woke me up before I was finished.”
Both men stared down at her, her twin lovers, wearing almost identical looks of frustration.
With his thumbs beneath her chin, Ian turned her face to his and sighed. “I can’t stand to hear you crying out in fear. You sounded scared to death. What did you see?”
Serena closed her eyes, unable to look into his concerned ones and lie to him. “I don’t know. You woke me up.” Opening her eyes again, she lifted her hand to cup his jaw. “I appreciate that you care about me.”
His expression hardened, his eyes flashing sparks. “I’m in love with you, damn it!”
Struck by his anger, she pushed at him. “You can’t keep treating me like I’m made of glass.”
Alastair took her right hand in his and lifted it to his lips, his smile tense. “We love you. Of course we want to protect you. You’ve become more confident in the last several weeks, and you’re learning how to control your abilities, but you’re still so incredibly vulnerable.”
Hating the reminder that she needed them a hell of a lot more than they needed her, Serena pushed against Ian, but it had no effect. “Does loving me mean that you have the right to keep me from being myself—the right to keep me from doing what I’ve been doing all my life? Damn it! I’m not vulnerable! I can take care of myself. I’ve been doing it for years, remember?”
Wrapping his arm around her, Ian sat back on his heels, jerking her against him in a show of strength that never failed to stun her. Sliding his hands up and down her back, he arched her toward him, his eyes glittering with a combination of love and sympathy. “We don’t want to keep you from using your gift, baby.”
Threading her fingers through his hair, she smiled tremulously, still finding it difficult to share the part of her she’d hidden away for so long. “I can’t. It’s part of me. Because of you, I’m learning to control it.”
Sliding a hand to her bottom, he pulled her closer, pressing his cock against her slit, his eyes hard and possessive. “Do you remember what it’s been like for you? Do you remember how it feels to have the thoughts of everyone around you slamming into your head until it was a jumbled mess, so loud that you couldn’t think? Do you remember the headaches that hurt so badly that you could barely stand to hear your own voice and that damned near debilitated you?”
“Yes. Of course, I remember. I’ve lived with it all my life!”
With a hand at the back of her neck, he pulled her closer. “We know that. The connection between Alastair and me is something we’ve lived with all our lives. I know that even hearing his thoughts when I’m doing something else is distracting and can be annoying as hell. We’ve always been able to talk to each other in our heads, though, and feel what the other’s feeling. If I lost that, it would be like losing an arm. I’m not trying to keep you from seeing things. I just know that having the thoughts of everyone around you bouncing around in your head must be hell sometimes. I don’t want you hurt.”
The feel of his naked body against hers ignited her senses, her nipples beading tight as they brushed against his chest. “You can’t keep waking me up when I’m having a dream.” Unable to resist, she rubbed her nipples against his chest, needing the friction. “I need to see it through.” Sharp jolts of heat shot to her clit, the tingling sensation making it nearly impossible to sit still.
A muscle worked in Ian’s jaw, and his eyes narrowed and filled with hunger. “It’s hard to lie next to you and listen to you cry out in fear and not do anything about it, Serena. Damn, I want you. Alastair, give me a condom. Seeing her arousal arouses me, but feeling her arousal drives me crazy.”
Smiling, he nuzzled her jaw. “It’s been like that since the first night we met you. You had a headache in the car—”
“When you kidnapped me.”
“And I thought it was my own, until we got back here and you hit your leg on the coffee table.”
Running fingers through his hair, Serena slid a glance at Alastair. “The looks on your faces were priceless when you both grabbed for your legs. Who would have thought that the two of you would be able to feel what I felt?”
Ian pushed her hair back from her face, frowning. “What we feel is not as intense as what you feel but it’s there. When you get those headaches, it’s awful. I can only imagine how much it hurts you.”
His slow smile made her heart lurch. “And when you’re aroused, I can feel that, too. It adds to my own and I feel like I’m going to die if I don’t have you.”
Her breath caught at the slide of his warm hand over her breast, the friction of his palm against her nipple sending hot, jagged need to her pussy. Trembling in anticipation, she rocked her hips. “You can’t protect me from being psychic.”
He tugged her nipples, leaning close to nip her bottom lip. “In case you’ve forgotten, baby, our ability to block out all that stuff for you is what makes it possible for you to be around other people. Your abilities are too unpredictable.”
Alastair tossed a condom to his brother. “Thank God we stumbled on that. I was so focused on trying to find a way to shield you that I did it the first time accidentally.”
Ian stared down at her, his eyes unreadable. “Your abilities seem to be getting stronger, and sometimes I think they’re changing. You’re a hard woman to keep up with.”
“If I’m such an inconvenience, maybe I should f-find my own apartment.”
The sensation in her nipple sharpened when he arched her over his arm and lowered his head to scrape his teeth over it.
Ian gripped her waist and settled her back several inches, his eyes sharp with possessiveness as he rolled on the condom. “Not a chance, baby. You belong right here. With us.”
Serena gasped when his hands went to her waist again and firmed, the need in his hold unmistakable.
Nothing excited her as much as the way they wanted her.
Despite his strength, he handled her carefully, holding her the way he would something precious.
Gripping his shoulders as he lifted her with another amazing show of strength, she cried out as he slowly lowered her onto his cock.
Impaled inch by thick inch, she threw her head back and cried out over and over, thrilling at the feel of being filled with solid heat.
“You’re so damned tight. The way your sweet pussy clenches on me makes it too damned hard to hold back.”
“Don’t hold back. I love the way you want me.” Her pussy clenched hard on his hot cock, making her feel even fuller. “Ian. Oh God.”
“We always want you.” Alastair moved behind her, nuzzling her neck and sending more ripples of tingling heat through her. “Always. We’re going to make sure you never want to leave us.”
He took her weight when Ian’s hands moved to her hips, sliding his hands up to cup her breasts and give her nipples the attention she craved. “I’m never letting you go.”
Ian moved faster, pumping into her, his fingertips digging into her hips. “I’ll tie you to the fucking bed if I have to.”
Unable to resist, she opened her eyes to look at her fierce lover.
With his hair loose around his shoulders, he looked as wild and untamed as their passion for each other.
Every inch of her body trembled with pleasure, the heat and pressure building inside her with every sharp thrust.
With a hand gripping the nape of her neck, he leaned her back and pushed her against Alastair, bending his head to close his lips over her nipple. “Ours forever.”
Lowering his head, he scraped his teeth lightly over the underside of her breast, a weakness he exploited at every opportunity. Lifting his head at her pleasure-filled cry, he tightened the hand at her hip, pressing his thumb against her clit. “Come for me. Yes,
right there.”
He knew how to stroke her to give the most pleasure, his thumb moving at just the right speed and firmness. “Yes, right there.”
Serena instinctively struggled to get away from such intense pleasure, delighting that he wouldn’t let her escape. She cried out and stiffened, going over in a rush of sensation that left her gasping for air, a sob escaping when Alastair’s arms came around her. Her pussy clenched on Ian’s cock as he thrust deep and stilled, his groan of completion as raw and uninhibited as his lovemaking.
Easing back, he smiled down at her and continued to slowly stroke her clit. “That’s it. A little more.”
Serena gripped his hand, her excitement even greater at the knowledge that she couldn’t budge it no matter how hard she tried. “Ian!”
“Take it all, baby. There’s more.” He smiled when she went over in another smaller rush, a smile filled with a possessiveness she’d never get tired of. “That’s it. You can always take a little more, and I can’t resist hearing those sounds you make.” The male satisfaction in his voice held a hint of arrogance, but his hands were gentle as they gathered her against him, the glitter of love in his eyes unmistakable as he cupped the back of her head and stared down at her. “I can’t resist watching you come. I can’t resist making you come. You really are incredible. Sweet. Soft, and in some ways so strong.”
Serena smiled weakly at that, her limbs still trembling. “Strong enough to handle the two of you. Don’t forget that. I’m also strong enough to help.” Lifting her head from his shoulder, she barely had time to gasp when his mouth covered hers.
He deepened his kiss, lowering her to the bed with his cock still inside her. His kiss held a desperation that had her holding him closer.
